Professional Experience

Dr. Chen is a Technical Advisor to the firm’s clients and attorneys. Her practice supports patent prosecution in the areas of physics and mechanical, electrical and computer engineering. Prior to joining Stevens & Showalter L.L.P, Dr. Chen worked as a technology specialist at an intellectual property boutique law firm in Boston, MA, handling domestic and foreign patent applications at all stages of prosecution.

Dr. Chen served as a Research Assistant at Tufts University Millimeter and Sub-millimeter Waves Laboratory (2003-2007), working on free-space broad band dielectric measurement of solid materials. Dr. Chen also conducted research in the areas of digital signal processing, probabilistic and statistical modeling and statistical communications theory, and advanced mixed signal simulation algorithms at Tufts University (2001-2003). Additionally, Dr. Chen worked as a teaching assistant at Tufts University (2001-2003) lecturing on microprocessor programming language and digital logic design.
